Keys...A Simple Project

Hi everyone ... hope your Thursday is going well.  Still packing, blah, blah, blah.  I wanted to share with you this simple yet elegant little project I made using some $2 keys that you can buy at Michael's.  The keys come on this decorative little paper backing within a plastic bag. Yes they were only $2.  You can also buy the Large single Keys for $2 each too!  I bought a few of those to make art work for my new old house.  This is simply put together using a 5 x 7 photo frame, scotch tape, the frame backing and some scrap burlap.  I had all of the items but the keys ... so it cost me $2.

 

I folded the pieces of scotch tape so it would adhere to both the paper and the burlap and secured it in place where I wanted it on the burlap.

 

 

Then simply put the burlap on top of the glass within the frame, applied the backing and secured the back by pushing the small clips that hold it in place.

 

 

 

 

Here you can tell that I stretched the burlap a little to keep from having to cut another piece.  The only thing I don't like about this project is that the glass is not anti-glare, shows up the glare from the window on some days.

 

 

To go out and buy this type of art work is very expensive ... or I think it is expensive!  I'm thrifty and if I can't make it myself I don't have it.

 

 

Plus ... I enjoy crafting and making things.
