Hi everyone! Hope you are getting some of this sunny and warm weather like here in North Carolina!
I painted a coat of
PINK Homemade Chalk Paint on the other suitcase I was telling you about. Peggy got them at a yard sale for just $1 each. They measure 21 x 18 x 9 so they are pretty big. I may leave them in the creamy white and the pink or I may change them? Who knows?
I am getting things finalized for my move Friday and wanted to see what they looked like with the Pink?
This is what the PINK one looked like before I painted it. It is an Amelia Earhart brand.
It is a very solid piece of luggage and looks almost like new inside. Sometimes I tear out the lining of them if they are scrappy and stuffy , mildewy smelling inside. Or use a kitty litter in a container to aid in the smell or dampness?
I love how the shades of tans, creamy whites, pinks and pale greens go together!
It never ceases to amaze me at the POWER of PAINT!!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day dear readers!
All my best!
I can see that in Boo Boo's room, open with dolls placed in it.

Who'da thunk it? I would have thought painting a smooth finish suitcase but these tweed looking one turned out great! And for a buck each, it wasn't a risky decision. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI like the softer colors on these vintage suitcases.
