I love the Shabby Chic...Cottage...Country French...Romantic Style of Decorating. I love it all combined! I have been a little MIA lately. Have so much going on but no EXCUSES PLEASE! I think I have found me a small Bungalow...
Finally! I have been trying to blog, pack and find a place to live all at the same time and I am STRESSED. But painting keeps me calm! I started on this little French style table and will wait to do a complete reveal after I've moved. Here is a little of what I've done so far....
It had the normal DARK finish but it is solid wood! not that fake stuff. I made a batch of
HOMEMADE CHALK PAINT in BEHR COTTAGE WHITE.
I maybe might add a coat of dark wax.....but for now just the clear.
Shabby Chic, Cottage, Romantic, Country French style of decorating is so pretty and timeless!
It has an inlay on the sides that I've seen in shops where the painter has added a beautiful French Paper within them. Ummmmm??
I love the curviness of the base and just the whole table!
You probably will not believe me when I tell you that this little beauty was on the curb! That's right! On the curb! I was taking my granddaughter Alicia home and there is was...all by itself amongst some other debri from a move that someone made and sitting beside the empty boxes and such.
I love it and will give it a cherished spot in my new old home....
all my best

ReplyDeletethank you Leena...alot of work and projects ahead of me. :)
DeleteI looks awesome! Love the curves but I have to say that those vintage (70's I think) pulls are my very favorite style.
ReplyDeleteMaureen, can you believe my luck of being the one to happen upon it first! :)
